When what looks to be suicide becomes a trail of bodies leading right to the lap of a famous rock band, things go from easy to twisted in less time than it takes to draw breath. Oh wait, vampires don't exactly breathe do they? Now she has to deal with a sexy centuries old vamp with a distrust that blows off him in waves and evil in the shadows after one or all of them.
Rafe has been dealing with this enemy for a long time, but now they've upped the stakes and caused others to start investigating by leaving evidence pointing to him. Jessie is obsessive about this and smart enough to be trouble- his problem is that he wants her close; in fact he wants to keep her.
Though I found this one a bit tame at first and a little confusing due to the convoluted way one gets to who is doing what to whom, once you get to the heart of the tale it took me on an interesting journey into a world where intricate layers begin the series. Rafe can be enigmatic, Jessie stubborn and a certain character introduced in this one leads into the realm of sexual menage in a way guaranteed to make you take notes. It is overall a good read.

OK, wow. I hope my daughter doesn't find this one. ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Jessica,
ReplyDeleteI thought that, with the word Twilight it could attract the under 18's. But then again, searching the word Twilight on Google would bring plenty of other Twilight mentions!
