Liv has let life walk all over her her entire life, but that changes when she meets Garrett. He makes her feel that she is capable of handling things, including the change. All she has to do is convince him that she truly is stronger than she's appeared to him in the recent past-first impressions are so hard to change.

What drove Garrett to leave his pack made him want to put lots of distance between him and them. He didn't need some clingy, dependent female next door to him, either. At least that's what he thought until
he rescues her and discovers that she's the one female who might actually make him believe in love again.

I have to say I found the characters in this story kind of contradictory; if Liv is so terrified of everything, her reaction to discovering Garrett's secret is rather tame. The sex is intense and Garrett is an alpha all the way, but I found the pack tradition confusing. It is an okay read.
