When a courtly "save" leads to a night of incredible sex, zoologist Rebecca Southerby puts the memory away as one to savor, concentrating instead on the job offer from a research organization. What she wonders is why they would need someone experienced with big cats in their facility, but even more amazing is finding her memory-maker in the secret lab. It's what's happened to him that is not only shocking, but also incredible.

Although his job makes physical demands on his body, Micah Lasiter isn't about to let his age or condition keep him from doing his best. When something happens that gives him an opportunity to become better than ever before, the Predator Project seems a golden gift- although refusing it isn't something they are going to let him do. Now he and Rebecca must find a way to end this organization that will either corrupt man or kill them.

I found this to be a bit intriguing as there are a couple of twists that make for interesting spin-off points and though this isn't a new concept I liked where this one took me. Unsuspected side effects, moles, corruption, hot sex, intrigue, suspense are just a few of the things that are within these pages, but I think it's the twist into unexpected areas that kept my interest. If the rest of the series is as interesting it'll be a good one.
